This documentation provides a comprehensive guide to using dashboards within Petavue, a tool designed to help users visualize and interact with key metrics and insights. Dashboards in Petavue allow users to visualize reports in a format that makes it easier to draw meaningful insights. With support for pie charts, bar charts, and line charts, users can represent their data visually, helping them better understand trends and performance metrics at a glance.

Adding a report to a dashboard

In Explore, choose which table or chart has to be added to the dashboard and click the "Add to dashboard" button at the bottom.

This action will open a pop-up where you can create a widget. You can either add the widget directly to a dashboard or save it for later and assign it to the appropriate dashboard when needed.

You need to provide a title and description for creating the widget, then add the widget to either an existing dashboard you've already created or create a new dashboard directly from this pop-up.

Accessing Dashboards

If you've already created a widget and now want to add it to a dashboard, you can do so by navigating to the "Dashboard" page via the left-hand navigation bar.

You can create a dashboard by clicking the "Add New Dashboard" button.

On clicking the "Add New Dashboard", a page will open displaying all the available widgets that were created by you. You can also add the same widget to multiple dashboards.

On clicking the check box, the widget will get added to the dashboard.

You can name the dashboard by clicking on the editable text box located at the top-left corner of the screen.

If you want to edit or delete a widget, you can do so by clicking the actions icon located across the widget title.

When editing a widget, you will only be able to edit the name and descriptions of the widget.

Once you've made all the changes to the dashboard, you can save it by clicking the Save button.

You can view dashboards on the Dashboard homepage.
