Connecting Petavue MCP with Claude
Note: You need to have a Claude paid subscription for you to connect Petavue MCP with Claude.
Login to your Claude account on your browser.
Click on Profile→ Settings→ Connector.
Next, click on Add Custom Connector.
Note: If you are on Claude’s Team plan as part of your organization, only your workspace owner will have the permission to Add Custom Connector.
You can give the Name as “Petavue MCP” and Remote MCP Server URL as “https://mcp.petavue.com/v1/pv-mcp/mcp?key=<company name> and click “Add” button for adding the Petavue MCP.
Note: If your company name is Acme you can use that instead of <company name>.
Once the custom connector for Petavue MCP is added by the workspace owner, you will now be able to see "Petavue MCP" under Settings—> Connectors. When you click on the "Connect" button, you will be redirected to the Petavue Login page. Here, you can login using your credentials.
Note: The Claude workspace owner only needs to add the custom connector for Petavue MCP. The actual connection post adding the connector can be done by the user who has the Petavue license.
To verify if the connection is successful, you can go to the homepage, click on “Search and tools” icon and check if you see “Petavue MCP” showing up there.
When you click on the “Petavue MCP”, you will notice that Petavue has 6 different tools it has exposed to Claude.
Type your Claude prompt and press enter. Claude will use Petavue’s data context when responding.
Whenever Claude calls a Petavue tool for the first time, it will ask for your permission to use the tool. Here, you can choose “Allow Always”.
